There has been a lot of interest in the fishing gazebo photo we posted quite a while ago and we finally found out who built it!
We received an e-mail from both the daughter of the designer, Kim, and the designer himself, Gene Luoma of Duluth, Minnesota, who recently sent this photo of his family enjoying the gazebo.
"I built the Gazeboat last summer," said Gene, "I didn’t think it would cause this much attention. It’s just lots of fun to go out fishing now. I can fit a dozen people on it with no problem. This is a picture of the Gazeboat with my daughter Kim, my grandaughter Karsen and my wife, Kathie on the deck. It’s lots of fun and I can’t wait till things thaw out so we can start to enjoy it."
"It’s a blast and fun to drink wine and float around on even if you don’t like to fish," added Kim.
"I have received many calls and e-mails from all over the country asking questions about it," said Gene. "Anyone interested in more information can contact me or buy a set of plans for $20 dollars. Thanks, and good luck fishing!"
