Canadian Northern Pike Fishing Makes a Memorable Graduation Trip.
After graduating from Grade 12 you tend to lose contact with all your high school friends. Since my friends and I knew this was inevitable we started thinking up different grad trips that would be appealing and memorable.
We couldn't have picked a better place then North Knife Lake Lodge. The camp itself was absolutely beautiful; the water was clear, the air was fresh, and the cabins were perfect for the eight of us.
Throughout our stay we had two boats to go fishing on, and we quickly found a favourite spot that produces excellent Northern Pike. It was amazing the amount of fish we could catch in a day; each boat would catch about 50 pike per day, and several Lake Trout. I myself am not one for a full day of fishing, but with a bunch of friends and fish always nibbling at your hook it turned out to be a great time. Besides fishing we played runway baseball, which is a typical baseball game, just on the runway with tires as your bases. We also managed to do a little bit of cliff jumping; we didn't have to go far from the lodge, and the cliffs into the water were a good height for all of us. We also watched a ton of movies in the upstairs of the lodge after we ate a delicious supper. The food was always amazing and the staff was a hoot. If ever we weren't up for a movie in the evening we all hopped into the wood fired hot tub to relax and talk until late into the evening.
Everything was so relaxed there and we soon felt right at home. By the end of our stay we were all incredibly sad to have to say goodbye. The time we spent together at North Knife will forever be remembered by each one of us. We have so many pictures of all of us together, so many stories that have forged a bond between each of us, each memory creates laughter and produces joy. I would strongly encourage any group of graduates to go and have an amazing, memorable time before jumping feet first into to real world. The lodge and staff made this trip an amazing event for us all.
I wouldn't have wanted our time to be spent anywhere else.
