It''s that time of year when many anglers venture out on to the frozen lakes to try their luck ice fishing for northern pike. Pike are active in the winter and the big ones will bite, but you do have to be careful. Every year someone falls through the ice in Manitoba - ice fisherman, snowmobilers, skiers.
